Both in-person and online worship are held at 9:00 a.m. Sundays. Children are welcome to be in worship with their families. Communion is held on the first Sunday of every month, and our Communion Table is open to all; you don't have to be a member of this church or any church in order to participate.
All-Church Picnic & Campfire
SATurDAY, August 15, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Everyone is welcome! Enjoy a picnic meal and fun around the campfire—right in our church backyard. The event will be held in the lower level parking area, backyard, fire pit and stage. Rain location: Fellowship Hall.
- All ages are welcome; kids, families and adults
- Enjoy a picnic-style meal
- Lawn games and socializing
- Campfire with S’mores and music
What to bring:
- Sign up to bring food items from our Signup Genius list, or just come!
- Lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
- Marshmallow roasting sticks if you have them.

Outdoor Worship & Backpack Blessing

Join us for a lively morning of outdoor worship that will include a backpack blessing for children heading back to school. Kids, bring your school backpacks!
Meet on the lower level parking area and backyard stage.

Wildflower Garden & Grounds Workdays

9:00 am - 1:00 pm
We're establishing a new, native wildflower garden with Milkweed, Butterfly weed, Black-eyed Susans, Purple Coneflower and Goldenrod. Other areas of our grounds need some weeding. Please come if you like to garden, enjoy socializing and working outside with like-minded folks. Stay for as little or as long as you like.
Nights of Civic Engagement
4th Thursday of the month
6:30 - 8:00 pm
Let your voice be heard on things that matter to you. This event is open to the community and nonpartisan. We will meet upstairs in the Gathering Space. Resources will be available for contacting representatives, letter-writing, stamps, and postcards. Snacks provided. Drop in as you are able.
Brats in the Lot Fundraiser
Saturday, September 26
10:00 aM - 2:00 pm
Stop by Miller & Sons Grocery Store in Mount Horeb to purchase delicious grilled bratwurst. Make it a meal deal with chips and a soda. We'll also have home-baked desserts and pies for sale. Your purchase helps support the work and ministries of Mount Horeb UMC, thank you!
Rice Meal Packing Event
Saturday, September 26
9:30 - 3:30 pm
Sugar River UMC, 415 W Verona Ave, Verona, WI
Sugar River UMC, in partnership with Midwest Mission, is holding a blessing bag rice meal packing event. The goal is to pack 5,200 bags to feed 31,200 people! Each bag is packed with vitamins, dehydrated vegetables, soy, and rice, and feeds six people. These will be distributed nationally and internationally.
Sign up for one of three shifts—all ages and abilities are welcome! Or donate funds to help purchase the supplies to reach the goal.
Annual Pasty Sale
Saturday, October 17
Save the date for our annual pasty sale! Pasties are similar to a calzone, and make for quick and easy meals. We assemble and bake them fresh on the day of the sale. They can be eaten right away, or frozen and reheated later. Two varieties will be available. Details are coming soon for pricing, ordering and how to volunteer to work the sale. Stay tuned!
