Welcome to Mount Horeb United Methodist Church
Everyone is welcome here
As a Reconciling Congregation, Mount Horeb United Methodist Church celebrates the inclusive love of Christ. We embrace the image of God in all humanity; regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, race, sex, ability, ethnicity, education, faith tradition, family structure, political affiliation, social class, physical or mental health. Everyone is welcome here.
Worship with us at
9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings
Refresh your soul & renew your spirit
Both in-person and online worship are held at 9:00 a.m. Sundays. Children are welcome to be in worship with their families. Communion is held on the first Sunday of every month, and our Communion Table is open to all; you don't have to be a member of this church or any church in order to participate.
Kid's Hour
Sundays at 9:00 aM
Engaging lessons, stories, and activities designed just for kids, ages 3 - 6th grade.
Kids begin worship in the sanctuary with their families. About 10 minutes into the service, they are invited up front for a special time with the pastor. They may then head to classrooms with their teachers for Kid's Hour.
Fall Bible Studies
This fall we're offering two Bible Study opportunities. These small group settings will provide welcoming space for questions and discussion around the Bible, faith and Christianity. Everyone is invited to participate, whether you're just beginning your faith journey, or you've been on the road awhile — all are welcome!
Outdoor Worship &
Pet Blessing
Sunday, October 11
9:00 aM
This special service will celebrate fur babies and animals of all kinds—even cherished plush animals! Bring donations of cat or dog food to help stock the supply at Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. We'll gather in the church backyard on the lawn and outdoor stage area. In the event of inclement weather, we'll hold the service in Fellowship Hall. Parking is also available on the lower level.
Nights of Civic Engagement
4th Thursday of the month
6:30 - 8:00 pm
Let your voice be heard on things that matter to you. This event is open to the community and nonpartisan. We will meet upstairs in the Gathering Space. Resources will be available for contacting representatives, letter-writing, stamps, and postcards. Snacks provided. Drop in as you are able.
