Bible & Book Studies

Throughout the year we offer various book and Bible studies, open to anyone who would like to participate. These provide opportunities to build understanding of the Christian faith and grow as disciples of Jesus. If we have any current or upcoming studies, you'll find the details below.

Lenten Book Study:
Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. StARTING February 24

Despite the crucifixion’s central place in Christian faith, the New Testament gives no single, clear explanation for how or why Jesus’ death saves. Instead, scripture offers a rich mix of metaphors—ransom, sacrifice, reconciliation, victory—without spelling out exactly how it all works. What if that’s because we’ve been asking the wrong question? What if the cross isn’t a transaction to be solved, but a living Word from God, meant to shape who we are and how we live?

If you’d like to dig deeper into these questions, you’re invited to join a weekly study. Our sermon series during Lent and Easter will be built around the same theme. Together, we’ll wrestle honestly with the cross and what it means for our lives today.

This book study group will meet at the church. Please contact the church office if you have any questions.
